It’s Ok to feel like things are at a standstill
It’s OK to feel unloved — misunderstood
It’s Ok to feel like there’s no progress
It’s OK to feel like you’re sinking
It’s not OK to give up entirely…
Living with a long-term health condition is challenging…
Building a positive mindset and resilience can make a big difference…
Elisa Tricon from Living Well Bee has five tips to help patients to build resilience when living with a chronic disease. These are:
Adapt — accepting limitations and knowing strengths
Connect — supportive community relationships
Practice gratitude — express appreciation and kindness as much as possible
Foster Wellness — developing healthy diets and positive attitudes towards food
Self-reflection — logging freely and continually every day
The article “Resilience in chronic diseases: A systematic review” conducts a review of the literature on the association between resilience and chronic diseases.
