At that moment — something to cherish. A young person — at home — with family — eating a family favourite. A moment we have given. The effort, time and drive are worth it. The warm glow of happiness to see them calm and relaxed.
No shouting, no worries, no pain, no stress.
Just the calm, taste, smell and intrigue. An old mind locked in a young body. Transferring our lives as carers and cared for into another environment.
The ability to relate. To connect and enjoy special times despite the trauma of an ever-increasing reality of fear, sadness and loss.
The desperate sadness of Dementia — symptoms momentarily relieved — a moment to savour — in our hearts for evermore.
