Relieving the symptoms of stress
Active Essex report that: calming music — talking about our feelings— celebrating small progress and movement are the ways to relieve stress. The Stress Management Society have many self-help resources available.
Have a long-term health condition?
If so it may not be that simple. Many people develop mental health conditions — depression and anxiety are said to be common in those with Addison’s Disease in a blog by The Addison’s Disease Self-Help Group.
They recognise that symptoms of the adrenal condition and mental health can become confused and therefore more difficult to manage. Additional medical support may be required. Talking therapies — medication and self-care are often used in treatment.
Please remember if you experience severe symptoms or your levels of stress are high and prolonged seek medical advice.
