Burnout can happen to anyone who is exposed to a sustained spell of stress and exhaustion. causing physical and emotional stress. Leaving us feeling unmotivated — low on energy — unproductive — irritable and struggling to be our best.
So how do we identify burnout? Tom Brady highlights these symptoms:
You find yourself becoming quick to get angry
You have trouble concentrating
You are unable to celebrate or take joy in your accomplishments and achievements
You are struggling to get a good night’s rest
You constantly feel exhausted even if you are getting sufficient sleep
You feel discomfort and inflammation in your stomach and gut or experience other musculoskeletal pain
You’re getting headaches more often
You aren’t fueling your body with food high in nutrients
Exercise, meditation and sleep are seen as the three crucial elements to help overcome burnout. Adopting the TB12 12-minute morning routine is a great place to begin. From personal experience, this is easy to implement.

So if you are feeling overwhelmed — increasingly irritable — feeling worried, anxious or scared — having trouble sleeping — then take some action fast. The quicker you manage your stress levels the quicker you can recover and take control again. Knowing the signs will help manage the unpredictability of the stress a long term health condition places on the body.
