Accessibility is key. There are many mediums for people to engage with. The traditional book that many still prefer — kindle — iBooks — picture books — magazines — newspapers — online content. The list is endless — the topics are the same.

Fiction or non-fiction the outcome is still the same. A mixture is great. Perhaps a novel for the evening and a crafting book to work through at some point during the day when a brain break is required.

Cost is also a consideration as we live through the cost of living crisis. But books can be free to access for anyone. Libraries provided that crucial service. They also provide a place of warmth — often the hub of a local community. A place of knowledge — information gathering — jigsaws are often available too. Another great health benefit — complete them in the library or borrow them to do at home.

Charity shops and local community centres often have books on offer very cheaply. Aiding charities — reading — digesting

The more standard hold in your hand book is ideal as part of a sleep management plan — no blue lights from the screen. Whilst the other options offer reading on the go — phones — iPads — tablets — kindle — great for commuters. For those wanting to rest their eyes or with sight problems — audiobooks work just as well.
