Suffolk Show delights visitors with a range of activities

Trinity Park played host to the Suffolk Agricultural Association's annual two-day event. With over 100 activities included in the admission price, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

An added bonus saw under 15’s being admitted free and parking included with the price making it more accessible through the cost of living crisis.

The crowds came out in their numbers to be entertained and dined by the best that the county has to offer. From the more traditional livestock shows and trade stands to the peaceful wildlife retreat — the chance to have a photo with ITFC’s runner-up trophy and options to explore live radio and music— whilst also having the option to sit back and take in the action at the specially designed beach area.

Food and catering options on offer gave the opportunity to taste the delights produced by local farmers, and growers all baked, cooked and fried by local businesses.

The retail trade was well represented with varying stands attracting shoppers of different ages and price brackets. A great programme of ring events provided diversity including —heavy horse teams — show jumping — the RAF Falcons parachute team and mascot derby racing.

An opportunity to promote the agricultural trade to young and old. To engage and gain interest in the climate, animals, sustainable farming, local food production and education and employment options in the area.

Emergency services provided vital services on the day and led the way in educating the young — teaching CPR techniques and fire safety. A variety of charities were in attendance to promote their great work within the local community.

Disabled visitors were also supported with free carer tickets, excellent changing and toileting facilities and even a care zone and covered ringside seating areas.

Added extras included a Mercedes Formula 1 team simulator, off-road 4x4 experiences and a full fairground of old-fashioned fun.

Two days of success after many months of planning, preparation and organisation — even the weather didn’t disappoint! Now the work begins for next year where organisers will look to build on the fantastic attendance from farmers, exhibitors and members of the public.
