About us.........

At Time To Heal Our aim is to support those with health conditions, including Pituitary Insufficiency and Addison's Disease, to understand their conditions and lead the best life possible.

The site is based on the 'Three Elements Theory' we have created which encompasses Health & Well-Being, Physical Health, and Mental Health. These need to be balanced carefully in order to be able to reach your 'best health' status and for us, this is the only way we can fully address the symptoms and problems that we live with every day. As you work through this site we think and hope that you can see how addressing and submerging into all our sharing and creative thinking can give you a better balance and awareness of your body.

We work alongside The Pituitary Foundation as Official Campaigners and have gained recognition for our patient-centered blogs. They advocate, recognize, and share our work on their patient blog website page and social media channels.

These blogs are the heart and soul of our website and focus on topical health subjects, well-being, mental health, and support mechanisms for those with Pituitary Conditions, but also engaging with a broader base of those with LTHC’s/Disabilities and Mental Health Conditions.

We are known for our combination of creative blog posts that are variable and challenge the difficulties people face, alongside topical reads and inspiration from the world around us. Awareness days are featured monthly and links to key resources and treatment help are all available.

In addition, the team holds the role of Active Essex Disability Ambassadors for the Essex All Together program, which functions to inspire, support, promote and deliver accessible exercise and sport provision for a broad range of LTHCs and Disabilities. Our work has been celebrated with a page of our own on the Active Essex Website, through the Active Essex Sports Awards, and within Ambassador Team Meetings.

You may ask why I have chosen dance images for this site and more specifically ballerinas. Well I believe they are symbolic, in that they show stress placed on our bodies, managing and dealing with  hours in unusual positions trying to achieve and fight for success, to be the chosen one who succeeds and strives to be their best against strain, competition, training, injuries and time spent trying to get to that final hurdle and beat the competition down.

I feel that links and relates to all of us. Whatever the battle we are chasing for good health, looking to be the best that we can. Negotiating Doctor and hospital appointments, looking for control of our bodies and the conditions we live with, and fight against every single day. Taking our journey through rare and difficult Pituitary conditions and the stress that places on our bodies.

Dance demonstrates beauty and freedom of movement, something I and I are sure anyone that is reading this will agree is what we do every waking moment to allow us to reach our goals.

So I have included the beauty of dance and I strive to be 'the beauty' of my physical and mental health. Different images but the message is the same.

I want to be the best that I can be. Not I want to be perfect because that is impossible but aiming high and being the best we can be. Sometimes we have to aim for good enough. That again is what we attempt to achieve.
