Accepting The New

I guess that I have contemplated long and hard over this but the new 'me' versus the 'old me' isn't such a bad thing.
Its well known that we accept others, cherish their happiness, celebrate their success, love them for who they are, support in times of hardship and sadness and the undying love for a person despite them leaving your side having judged you in a way never thought possible.
But what about changes in ourselves? What about the problems life throws at us? The change in personality, outlook on life, different values, interpretation of the life events that mark a significant reaction to how we behave and are perceived by others.
Well I think its a case of 'leaving behind' and starting a new. Sometimes it just takes a long while to see what has occurred and to find the light guiding you into the next stage of life. Filling you with renewed hope and success. A chance to build a new life using some of the old and some of the new. A set of people to be met without judgement and the carrying of those who are coming to know the 'new me' that have not seen the 'old me' before and will drag me through the watery waves.
How about love, care and special bonds. Before these were a dream but perhaps there is a chance. Where this takes us is another story. There are bound to be twists and turns, challenges and bumps along the way. But maybe that small slice of happiness coming out from the distance is like a rainbow of colours forging on to better things than ever before. Something to have passion for, a bigger plan of optimism and a glass nearly full!
This machine will not give in. It's travelled so far to get to this point. Now I pray the optimism, hope and happiness are glimmering at the end of that beautiful ray of colour of a double rainbow. One for each of us destined for new beginnings and the sparkling blue seas carry my support network over the lapping waves of the ocean.
