Introduction To Art Therapy.

Updated: Feb 23, 2020

Watch out for a new series of Art Therapy Blogs adapted from an art therapy course that we at Time to Heal have embarked on. It was very informative and interesting. We hope you will find something that you are willing to give a try. Hopefully, one form of the therapy guide you towards a bit more sanctuary and a better head space.

It’s mainly aimed at people with mental health problems but that is at the heart of everything these days. So by focusing on some form of art therapy some release, even for a short time could be beneficial to you, as it could even if you don’t have mental health conditions.

You may be able to find escape from your health if you can pace one of the therapies into your day. Many of these ideas could be done at home and with minimal cost.

We were first introduced to these ideas and more having had our ‘stints’ on a mental health was. There everything is set out for you but ‘bringing’ some home has been helpful and we really hope these positive blogs will lead you to a better place as you battle on through disability, illness, un-certainty and adversity.

We started in one direction and moved into others as you’ll see from the gallery of cards and boxes etc that are shown on this site. Use these blogs to ignite a passion, new hobby or adapt in a positive way for you. What you produce or do doesn’t matter, it’s how it makes you feel!

Please be mindful that these blogs are slightly different in that they were utilised to answer assessments on a course and therefore although we want you to enjoy the content and are happy for you to use the material in anyway that helps, please refrain from ill using the same information completely should these blogs answer questions to a course you are embarking on without making us as the original author of the pieces.
